Additional optic kits are available to enable measurement of surface flatness and squareness of axes.

- Linear measurement - the linear setup measures positional accuracy along an axis.
- Angular measurement - the angular setup measures pitch and yaw errors along an axis.
- Straightness measurement - the straightness setup measures errors in the planes perpendicular to the moving axis.
- Rotary axis measurement - the XR20-W rotary axis calibrator and XL-80 laser measure the positional accuracy of a rotary axis.
- Flatness measurement - the flatness setup measures the surface form for CMMs and all types of surface plate.
- Squareness measurement - the squareness setup measures the perpendicularity of two nominally orthogonal axes.
