Broaching is a high speed precision metal machining process used in the turbine industry for machining blade attachment slots in turbine discs and root forms on turbine blades. Two main suppliers shared this business in the past: LAPOINTE and HOFFMANN.
Looking for the future, the market position of both companies has been strengthened and expanded by integration into the broaching business of ARTHUR KLINK GmbH and KARL KLINK GmbH in 2004.
Consequently, the KLINK structure is in a position to cover the whole scope of broaching technology including LAPOINTE and HOFFMANN as the center of competence for all broaching demands in the turbine industry and as the specialist for caliper broaching in the automotive industry.
